Orion Darling and Anthony de Bono have been collaborating and working together since early 2016.
Their interdisciplinary practice explores ideas and notions of the body, in particular using action, response and gestures to further explore and respond to perceptions of themselves and notions of intimacy, tension and beauty. Both physically and socially.
Berliner Zimmer #1 Open/ Offen

This series consisted of an intimate series of photographic portraits. The works look through our eyes at the other and self, with love and trust, exploring our identity as self, lover and other.
BOUND
Berliner Zimmer #2 Geschlossen/ Closed

Created during a time of tension and suffocating proximity between the artists. Bound, through an intensely autobiographical and intimate approach. Sees the artists address these internal difficulties and struggles through a series of Photographs and performance.
The work culminates during a performance that sees the two artists bind themselves head to toe in cling film. Creating a cocoon which both binds the artists together whilst also trapping them to the point of near suffocation. Before concluding with the artists forcibly cutting themselves free, once again able to breathe and move freely.
Berliner Zimmer #3 Hidden

The series Hidden is an intimate personal photographic series that whilst encompassing and evoking aspects of space, our bodies, delves further into the emotions that surround our desires. Whilst questioning the internal discourse created within sexual situations.
This series culminated in a performance work, that included sound, video and physical performance, creating a peep show effect. During which the lines of attraction, permission, tenderness, voyeurism, abjection were blurred.
